We strongly recommend contacting us to remove the restrictor plate in the exhaust. This plate, designed to mimic the restriction of a catalytic converter, is actually a major drain on power and fuel efficiency.
Surprisingly, the 2.2 engine range doesn’t even have a catalytic converter. By removing this plate, we allow for a much smoother, more efficient exhaust flow. This resolves issues with Euro-tuned ECUs, which were struggling with the artificial back pressure and sometimes causing overboost, triggering limp mode.
With a mild remap for economy or our Stage 1+ system, we also eliminate the troublesome EGR valve. The result? Impressive performance that consistently blows away our clients. Many even achieve 1000km on a single tank of diesel!
